My Idea of gun control. We have the right to have them. With out the right to bear arms will only allow for a dictator ship run government, (which is the way we are headed). What most people do not is realize one important fact, that as humans, we will continue to come up with ways to rob, murder, rape, kill, bomb. we can take guns away, but look at recent events, not one person had a gun at Boston marathon, and one or more people planted bombs. worse could happen. I see signs all over War is not the answer. What is the answer, I wont be a door mat. Sandy hook could have been prevented. The mother (may god rest her soul) should not have let her son have access to her guns, if what they say is true, then maybe not even in the house.
Personally, I think gun handling should be taught by professional instructors to second graders. Let them learn (in a controlled environment) that once a bullet leaves the barrel, you can't put it back,
Also, if you are going to purchase a gun for home or self protection, then you need to prove you know when to use, the gun and when not to. Go to a class. I did, The instructor taught when to use deadly force and when not to , what would be considered murder, and what was not. then the class was put through the steps to actual hands on. Using paper targets, the instructor had the ability to control if the target was coming at us, we would say stop if the target continued we were taught to shoot. If the target did stop we did not shoot, and we had to hit the target 14 times. if the person can do that and pass a background check one time, you get your little card. When you buy a gun from a retailer, then you give them the card and they can do an instant back ground check. If someone did something stupid it would show up and sorry not able to purchase a gun.
however those are just my opinions .but it would beat trying to defend our rights, and maybe a few more responsible people would be out there. also you can bring up forgeries, black market will still be open to those that can not leagally have guns. Forgeries, well, people have fake Id cards, drivers licence and so on. so it would be nothing new in that game.
