I have a few questions about the Landscape Design Program exam questions.
In lesson 13 (Landscape Irrigation), I would like to know what the correct answer is for question 14 (Question: If the water pressure supplied from the source is 50 psi, and the pipe rises 10 feet to a valve that controls the flow of irrigation water, what will be the static water pressure at the valve). I answered C (Answer: 50 psi - (10x0.433) = 45.67). I'm wondering why this is incorrect, given example 8 in the "Answers to Check your Learning Questions" states that we are supposed to subtract (feet x constant) if the control valve is higher.
I am also wondering if there are any particular articles or books that can expand on Trickle Irrigation, as there is not much information available in the text.
In lesson 14 (Interior Planting), I would like to know what the correct answer is for question 11 (Question: In terms of the quality of light and color rendition needed for both people and plants, which type of light source is best in a typical office environment). I chose C (Answer: Warm-white fluorescent), simply because I didn't feel a right answer existed. The text states that Cool-White Fluorescent is a good all around option, but is not an option in the answers. According to Table 24-2, Metal Halide or High-Pressure Sodium could also be good options, but again, they are not options in the answers. Could you please clarify what the correct answer is?
Thank you for your help.
