Behavioral scientist, John Watson, conducted an experiment called the "Little Albert Experiment", Watson chose a nine-month-old child for this experiment. First he put the child in a room with a white rat, and the child tried to play with it. Next he put the rat in the room, he made a loud noise behind the child just as the child was about to touch the rat, scaring the boy. The child began to cry, as any child would.
After that experience, the child associated the white rat with the loud sound. The next time the rat was put in the room with the child he cried and tried to avoid the rat. Anytime Watson put something furry in the room the child became scared and cried.
Taking this experiment into account, how many things in your own life [,fears, likes and dislikes,] do you think have been conditioned into your emotional behavior, and beliefs?
